The Society of Operations Engineers (SOE) is one of 35 Professional Engineering Institutions (PEI) in the UK. SOE has the responsibility to support individuals and organisations to operate in safe working environments, using modern practices, in a technically proficient way. SOE is licensed by both Engineering Council and Society for the Environment and use our remit from them to improve the careers of their members and the wider engineering community.

The Society, through its specific professional engineering sectors, promotes safe, efficient, sustainable and ethical engineering operations to the benefit of society.
