Association for Cooperation for Research and Development of Electronics, KOTEL

KOTEL is an association for co-operation in the fields of research and development of electronics in Finland. It aims to advance quality, reliability and economy of electronics. The co-operation includes the whole life cycle of a product: development, production, delivery, use and service.

Co-operation is carried out in workgroups, research projects and training concentrating on specific topics with in the operating area of KOTEL. The KOTEL working groups act as a focus for the sharing of technical information and experiences relating to various sub-areas in the field of electronics. The main functions of the work groups are to draw up proposals for research projects and topics of focus and to assemble groups of experts to share information on technologies and problems.

Current KOTEL Work Groups are:

  • TR5 Environmental tests
  • TR6 Reliability technology
  • TR7 Electromagnetic interference
  • TR12 Software engineering
  • TR15 Mechanical design
  • TR18 Thermal design of electronics
  • TR19 Environmental issues
  • TR19 Printed Circuit Boards

Association pour le développement des Sciences et Techniques de l’Environnement, ASTE

The Association for the Development of Environmental Science and Technology (ASTE) is an association act of 1901 founded in 1967.

Our objectives are the progress and dissemination of science, techniques, practices, processes, successes in terms of study provoke, promote, promote by all appropriate means, the measurement and simulation of all environmental agents and environmental testing.

These tests apply to all materials, components and assemblies that must ensure a service defined in a specific environment under strict conditions of reliability and duration.

This means that at each stage of design, manufacture and commissioning of the product in question, the environment is taken into account and the appropriate tests are carried out, under the real or simulated environmental conditions of its future life.

l’ASSOCIAZIONE INTERNAZIONALE DI VELOCIMETRIA LASER A.I.VE.LA.

The International Association of Laser Velocimetry and non invasive diagnostics is a non-profit cultural association that was founded in July 1991. The main objectives of A.I.VE.LA. are to:

– bring together people, associations, companies, firms and bodies interested in the development of non-contact or minimally invasive measurement techniques of mechanical, fluid-dynamic, thermal, chemical, etc. quantities, with particular reference to techniques based on electromagnetic radiation and with prevalent attention to optical techniques, and related research activities;

– promote and disseminate the studies, research, development and applications of the measurement techniques referred to above through journals, publications, conventions and conferences, prizes, scholarships etc., both at a national and international level;

– promote cooperation between Universities, Industries and Research Institutions in the field of the measurement methods referred to above;

– organize and hold a national conference on the activities carried out by the Association at least once a year.

Platform Omgevingstechnologie, PLOT

How do we ensure that a product can handle the conditions it is exposed to during use? Without making the product too heavy or too expensive? The field of environmental technology is a tool for achieving outlined objectives. It is defined as the "testing and trial of products in a simulated environment.

The PLOT is an independent association of companies and institutions in the Netherlands and Belgium that are active in environmental engineering.

The profile book gives an overview of the PLOT members with descriptions of their activities and expertise. This profile book provides designers and manufacturers with valuable information about providers of environmental technology products, systems, knowledge and services.

Swiss Society of Environmental Engineering, SSEE

The SWISS SOCIETY for ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING (SSEE) was founded in 1988 as an independent trade organization and replaced the Swiss Section (founded 1984) of the GESELLSCHAFT FÜR UMWELTSIMULATION e.V. (GUS).

The SSEE is the professional organization for engineers, scientists, companies and institutions active in the field of environmental simulation. The SSEE connects research and technology by providing advice to professional organizations in the definition of test procedures under consideration of interactions of equipment under test (EUT) and its environment.

The SSEE organizes an annual technical meeting. SSEE is a link for environmental specialists working in Switzerland and abroad. The SSEE is a partner for users and OEM of test equipment, and for the application of measurement techniques of all kinds. Contacts with test laboratories are arranged by SSEE in order to achieve mutual agreements on requirements.

Today the SSEE counts about 40 company and 25 individual members.
